Maybe if I shut my eyes hard enough,
our insecurities will hide along with us.
We won't ever have to grow.
We won't ever have to know.
All I have to do is stay quiet, don't move,
don't shatter the glass, don't kill the mood.
The sun won't rise on our love if we don't.
Our love can remain our security blanket,
the one I always feel around for in the dark.
We may have fallen asleep in this glass house
our insecurities will hide along with us.
We won't ever have to grow.
We won't ever have to know.
All I have to do is stay quiet, don't move,
don't shatter the glass, don't kill the mood.
The sun won't rise on our love if we don't.
Our love can remain our security blanket,
the one I always feel around for in the dark.
We may have fallen asleep in this glass house
but at least we’re not sleeping alone.
So pardon me while I bite my tongue,
the truth has a way of ruining the fun.
